Carole Jeanne Hlinka, 78, of Tarpon Springs, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, January 28, 2014.
Carole was born in Jamaica, New York on October 27, 1935. She graduated from St. Clare Academy and continued on to receive a bachelor’s degree from Adelphi University.
Carole worked for the State of Florida and retired after twenty-five years. She enjoyed cooking, reading, antiquing, and was an avid fan of Teddy Roosevelt. She was also a talented quilter and left behind many beautiful quilts that will be used for generations to come. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, wife, and friend. Her presence will be missed by many, and not a day will go by where she is not remembered for her selfless acts of kindness, charity, friendship, and love. She believed that angels existed, never knowing that she was indeed an angel to the many people who loved her.
Carole is survived by her brother James Alberts, son Vincent Pedulla (Michelle), daughters Stephanie Pedulla Henderson (Ronald James) and Carolyn Pedulla Kovanis (Kevin), grandchildren Melisa Pedulla, Catherine Pedulla, Caroline Henderson, Peyton Henderson, Christa Kovanis, and Killian Kovanis.
Carole is preceded in death by her parents Albert and Wilhelmina Alberts, twin sister Doris Ann, her son Andrew Sheeran, and husbands Joseph Pedulla and Roger Hlinka.
She always told her children that she wished she could move anywhere and anytime she wanted, like they did in the 1950’s movies, with just two suitcases in tow. They know that she was pleased to discover that the greatest journey of all required no baggage at all.
