Charles W Finegan

FINEGAN, Charles W, 90 of Belleair Beach passed away on Tues, May 26, 2015 at Tidewell Hospice House in Sarasota, FL. Charles was born on Feb 8, 1925 in St Clair Shores, Michigan. He moved to this area in 1975 coming from Fullerton, CA. He was a Chemical Engineer in the painting industry and was a previous owner of Havco Paints. Charles was a member of St Jerome Catholic Church, a veteran of the Army Air Corps, Past President of the Rotary Club of Clearwater and Past Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Salvation Army of Pinellas County. Mr. Finegan was involved in Small Christian Community which he led and hosted in his home since the year 2000. Since around that time he has been involved in Ecumenism…for the past several years he coordinated the local efforts for the Church Unity in our neighborhood involving some other Christian churches. Mr. Finegan and his wife Mary attended/took part in the LPMI (Lay Pastoral Ministry Institute). Charles headed up the Scriptural Rosary at the Parish. Scriptural Rosary recited on the 2nd Wednesday of each month. They both were involved in RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults). Charles was predeceased by his first wife Dorothy, a son Patrick and a daughter Patricia. He is survived by his wife Mary Finegan and daughters Kathy (Charlie) Berels, Maureen (Tom) Echolds, Julie (Chuck) Rush, Eileen (Tony) Blackburn and Mary (David) Miller, twenty-six grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren along with a daughter in law Catherine.
