PARTON Charles "Kal", 89, born to Charles and Ella Parton, December 13, 1921. He passed away February 7, 2011, in N. Redington Beach, Florida, 31 years as Toledo Police Officer, retiring in 1981. He was a Sergeant in the U.S. Army served in the Philippines and was in the first forces to occupy Japan. He was a member of the Toledo Police Retirees Assoc. and the American Legion in Florida. Preceding him in death were his parents; first wife, Vera Makin Parton; daughter, Mary Jo Baldwin and sister, Roberta Humble. Survivors include his wife, Pat; daughter, Judy (William) Hughes from Algonquin, IL; sons, Timothy, Mark, Scott (Heidi) Parton; brothers, William (Dorothy) and Richard (Melanie) Parton; stepchildren, John McParland, Melissa Richard, Peter McParland; 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. In keeping with Kal's wishes, Memorial Services will be held at Bay Pines National Cemetery, Bay Pines, FL on Friday, February 25, 2011 at 10:45 am. Please meet the family in the circle in front of the cemetery office at 10:30 am.
