

He was born in Boston, MA, November 9, 1927 to Felix and Josephine Vitale, being 1 of 11 children.
He joined the Merchant Marines at 16 years of age, during WWII, then served in the Army/Air Force in the Philippines.
After being Honorably Discharged he attended college in Boston then worked as a metal's inspector at
Boston Naval Shipyards for 24 years.
He also opened a small restaurant in Brockton, MA. He then was a partner in a super market with his brother .
After retiring to Florida he engaged in several business ventures.
He enjoyed golfing, shuffle board, beating his brother at cribbage, and was a courageous blackjack player. He also enjoyed boating and travelling.
He is survived by his loving family, wife, Phyllis, son Charlie, daughter Linda David, stepsons Davis (Christina) DeBord, Brian DeBord and
stepdaughter Suzanne (Steve) Morgan.
Also survived by his two brothers Jimmy and Peter (Mary) Vitale, six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was a charming, fun loving, generous man and will be missed by all who knew him.
