OSBORNE, Charlie Cowan 83, of Castlewood, VA went home to be with the Lord on Feb. 11, 2010. Son of the late Emmett and Hilda Osborne; beloved husband of Mary; devoted father of Peggy Osborne, Ellen Wichert, and Precious, his poodle; loving brother of Phillip L. Osborne, the late Una D. Meade, and Frank E. Osborne; beloved grandfather of Sgt. Major Frank Gregory (Veronica) Lauer, Paul F. (Dawn) Ballachino, Shawn M. (Kelley) Lauer, Matthew H. Wichert, and Remi W. Wichert; and great-grandfather of Connor, Hunter, Massimo, Camden, Chloe, Gaige, and Blake. Charlie served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army, was a 32nd Degree Mason, and a retired steel worker from Cleveland. Visitation with Masonic Services will be Sunday, Feb. 14 from 2-5 pm at Moss Feaster Funeral Home, 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo. Funeral Service will be Monday, Feb. 15 at 10 am at Lighthouse Free Will Baptist Church, 3970 Park St. N., St. Petersburg, with internment with Military Honors following at Serenity Gardens Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lighthouse Free Will Baptist Church, where Charlie served joyously as a board member and treasurer.
