Claire Yoder, 81, of Seminole, FL, passed away on July 19, 2026. She was born on December 15 in Philadelphia, PA, to George and June (Freed) Augustine. Claire was a beloved wife, mom, mommom, and friend. She was fiercely loyal to her family.
Claire graduated from Penn Ridge High School in 1962. Her first job was working with the Girl Scouts of America. She met the love of her life, Donald Yoder, while working at Asplundh, and spent over 60 years building their life together. Claire worked alongside Don in the field and in the office, supporting their aluminum contracting business for over 30 years.
In her free time, she enjoyed traveling, including trips to visit family up the East Coast and many international cruises. She loved music, art, playing her organ, and crocheting, and took pride in her family, cherishing time spent at birthday parties and family gatherings. We hope heaven has an organ waiting for her and Elvis crooning nearby, art on every wall worthy of her own eye — maybe even a Thomas Kinkade or two — roaming elephants, polka dots, peppermint patties within reach, and General Hospital playing on repeat for the family gatherings to come.
She was a member of the AAF Felines, where she helped organize fundraisers and special events, while Don served as President of the Pinellas Chapter of the Aluminum Association of Florida (AAF).
Claire is survived by her twin brother, Norman (Diana) Augustine; her children, Mark and Sandra (Yoder) Hulen, Steven and Susan (Yoder) Flanagan, and step-son John and Sharon Gretzula; four grandchildren, Megan (Flanagan) Schuyler, Corey Flanagan, Stephanie (Flanagan) Pochowicz, Austin Flanagan; step-granddaughter, Abby (Price) Aversa; and seven great-grandchildren, as well as 3 step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and June Augustine; her sister, Joan Augustine; and her beloved husband, Don Yoder.
Contributions in Claire's memory can be made to the Lighthouse of Pinellas (https://lhpfl.org/donate/) in lieu of flowers.
Claire will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
