
Born July 6, 1922 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she was a graduate of West Chester University. Her teaching career spanned three decades. Upon retiring from Fairfax County Public Schools in Alexandria, Virginia, she and Warren moved to Seminole, enjoying an active retirement with family and friends. She was an avid golfer, bridge player and chaired many tournament committees at the Tides Country Club. Upon Warren’s death in 2005, she moved to Freedom Square where she met new friends and enjoyed spending time with them.
She is survived by her niece, Linda Burnett and her husband Dana Burnett of Virginia; nephew Thomas Smith and wife Ann Smith of Massachusetts; nephew Russell Smith and wife Judith Smith of South Carolina; niece Carol Deats and husband John Deats of Kansas; and numerous grand nieces and grand nephews, and great grand nieces and great grand nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 3rd at 11:00 AM at Freedom Square, Seminole in the Town Hall. There will be a private burial at Serenity Gardens in Largo.
