Connie Louise Boblenz

It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing of Connie L. Boblenz on April 27, 2026. She was born in Huntington, West Virginia on August 4th, 1936. She attended North High School, Columbus, Ohio and The Ohio State University where she met her husband of 70 years.

Connie enjoyed raising her family of five children with the support of her husband. She loved providing others with random acts of kindness. Connie was an avid sailor and spent over 12 years traveling with her husband on their sailboat “Flying Cloud” after his first retirement. She was a member of the Clearwater Yacht Club Gulls for 39 years, supporting the Gulls annual bazaar, sewing lap robes for the VA hospital, assisting with the annual Christmas Party for the children, and supporting the regattas and races.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ross and Lily Fulks, siblings Betty June Stalter and Bonnie Schuman.

She is survived by her husband Richard B. Boblenz, and their children Richard L. Boblenz (Lisa), Brad A. Boblenz (Cynthia), Kimberli Hayes (Daniel), Candace Burns, Karen Smidansky (Kenneth Kozlowski), 10 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.

She will be forever loved and remembered. A Celebration of Life and interment will take place in Marion, Ohio in July.
