Cynthia Catherine Chivas, 62, of St. Petersburg, Florida passed away on June 10th, 2014 surrounded by loved ones. Born in Norfolk, Virginia, Cynthia moved to Florida as a young child with her family. She made a life for herself in the antique business and in home health care. She had a deep love for animals and supported many animal charities. Cynthia was most proud of her family which she loved dearly.
She is survived by her son Shawn Downey, wife Julie, her grandchildren, Sawyer (18), Max (15), and Tyler (12) all of Seminole, Florida. She is also survived by her longtime friend and companion Victor Schier, her brother Frank Chivas, wife Jayme, her sister Jill Chivas, and several nieces and nephews.

Cynthia's memorial service will be Thursday July 3rd at 3:00PM at Serenity Funeral Home 13401 Indian Rocks Rd, Largo, FL 33774
