Darrell Clark was born on February 15, 1933, in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania, to Earl and Mary Clark. Darrell graduated from Moon High School in 1951, where he flourished as a student leader, member of the National Honor Society, chorus participant, and athlete. Darrell later attended Penn State before withdrawing to serve his country in the armed forces. After his service, he continued his education at Baldwin Wallace University, earning a degree in Management.
After college, Darrell held several senior human resources executive roles with notable companies, including the global manufacturing company Milton Roy. Following a successful career, he retired in 1993. Darrell was also a long-standing member of Anona Church.
Darrell will be remembered for his devotion to his wife, Ginger, and to his family. He always made family a priority, driving thousands of miles so loved ones could spend holidays and summers with the Thompson and Clark clans each year. Those visits helped shape the family culture that continues today. Darrell’s quick wit, bright smile, big laugh, kind heart and trivia quizzes for milkshakes were cherished by his family and will be deeply missed. He was passionate about his hometown Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates, and he attended several home games during his life. Like many Pittsburghers, he found in them both a source of pride and, at times, disappointment. He was also an avid golfer who enjoyed many rounds with family and continued playing into his late 80s.
Darrell is survived by his brother, Barry Clark; son, Kevin Clark (Linda); daughter, Pamela Girardin (Ed); granddaughter, Kaitlin Thornton (Reid), and their children, Reese, Rowan, and Rhett; grandsons, Jordan Clark (Andrea), and their daughter, Grace, Clark Girardin (Maegan), and their son, Levi, and Chandler Clark (Erin), and their daughter, Haven; niece, Kimberly Clark; nephew, Barry Clark Jr.; and many extended family members and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ginger Clark, and his son, Keith Clark.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Anona Church in Largo, Florida, on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at 1:00 PM. A dinner reception will follow at Bel-Air Country Club.
