Denise Koceja

She attended Waterford Union Highschool. She worked many jobs: Speedway, Bryers, Web Offset, and in the end Steak n Shake.

She will be remembered for being a mom and grandma to many. She was always the one to listen and care for anyone who needed it. She never put herself before others; known to be the strongest, most selfless person many of us have ever known.

She was proceeded by her mom, Mary Louise Gardner, her dad, Richard Donald Koceja, her brother, Dennis Koceja, and her grandbaby, Babygirl.

She is survived by her 6 children and their spouses, William McCranie III (Billy) and wife Kylena McCranie, John McCraine, Jennifer Whitehead and husband David C. Whitehead, Ann Wheeler and husband Stephen Wheeler (Kuzi), Michelle Conroy (Shelly), Thomas Conroy (Tommy) and wife Aurora Conroy. Her 14 grandchildren, Justice McCranie, Kassidy Farrar, Carson Whitehead, Mariah Koceja, Josiah Farrar, Jillian Whitehead, Duncan Wheeler, Olivia Whitehead, Matthew Derringer, Delilah Whitehead, John McCranie, Abagale Whitehead, Tj Whitehead, and Addisyn Conroy. Her siblings, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, dear friends, and the many who called her mom or grandma.

A memorial service with reception to follow will be held on June 13 at 10am at New Testament Baptist Church.
