Always the best Uncle a family could ask for. When I lost my own father, Uncle Don was there to help fill the void. He and Aunt Shirl, always together, have been second parents to all us kids, since we were babies. I never see a beautiful ripe tomato with out thinking of him, and his excitment in the tomato fields of Fort Myers. He was more excited than a kid in a candy store. Anyone that knew Don Magness knew after his family, his great loves were a good tomato and county music! We will miss you till we meet again. All my love, your niece Kerry

It is with much sadness that I learned of Don's passing. Don used to enjoy listening to the Pinellas County fire calls on his scanner and I kept it working for him over the years. I was honored to call him a friend. Don was such a gentleman and I personally will miss him. R.I.P.
