Doni was born on September 9, 1927 in Corning, Iowa to Donald F. and Lillian M. (Victor) Woodard. Doni graduated high school in Corning, Iowa. She graduated from the Colorado Women’s College in Denver, Colorado. On May 10, 1953 she married Harry “Jack” Linch. Doni was past president of the P.E.O. She was also Guardian of Jobs Daughters, a member of the Red Hat Society, United Methodist Women, Ogallala, Nebraska, assisted Jack with the Ogallala Rotary Club and a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church, Ogallala, Nebraska, and St. Paul United Methodist Church, Largo, Florida. Doni was an avid Nebraska Football fan, loved playing bridge and enjoyed world-wide travel as well as time spent at Lake McConaughy.
Doni is survived by her daughter, Lisa Lane and husband Michael, Colorado Springs, Colorado, sister-in-law, Laurel Hutchinson, Augusta, Kansas, two grandchildren, Christopher Linch, Ogallala, Nebraska and Megan Linch and partner Jeff Lockner, Colorado Springs, Colorado and extended family and loving friends.
Doni is preceded in death by her husband, Jack, her parents, Donald F. Woodard, Sweed Anderson, mother, Lillian M. Anderson, son Lee Linch, cousins and many other close family.
Memorial donations may be made to the P.E.O. International and Nebraska Children’s Home.
