Dorothy Louise Corbett

Dorothy Louise Corbett, age 78, of Clearwater, Florida, passed away on January 15, 2025. Born on February 10, 1946, in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, Dorothy was the cherished daughter of Dorothy and Stanley Bogdon.

A dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse, Dorothy earned her degree from Hackensack University School of Nursing and spent many years providing care to others at Morton Plant Hospital. Her profession was more than just a job—it was a calling, and she approached it with the same grace, dedication, and kindness that defined her life.

On February 26, 1966, Dorothy married her beloved Eric Corbett, and together they built a life full of love, laughter, and beautiful memories. Dorothy had a deep passion for life, embracing the simple pleasures—whether it was basking in the warmth of the sun on a sandy beach, nurturing her garden, or curling up to watch a good scary movie. But nothing brought her more happiness than being surrounded by her family, who were her greatest joy.

Dorothy leaves behind her two devoted daughters, Kimberly (Corbett) Dowding and Christine Corbett, as well as her adored grandchildren, Courtney Giaratano, Abby Clarkson, and Dane Dowding. She is also survived by her loving brother, Carl Bogdon. Though she is no longer with us, her legacy of love, strength, and compassion will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A funeral service for Dorothy will be held Monday, January 27, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Saint Catherine of Siena, 1955 S Belcher Rd, Clearwater, FL 33764. A graveside service will occur Monday, January 27, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Serenity Funeral Home & Serenity Gardens Memorial Park, 13401 Indian Rocks Rd, Largo, FL 33774. A reception will occur Monday, January 27, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Serenity Funeral Home, 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, FL 33774.
