Elizabeth M. Lecceardone (Libby) 93, of Seminole died August 12, 2015. Also, affectionately known to her many friends and relatives as "Miss America". She was born in Hornell NY on September 20, 1921 to Angelo and Antoinette (Picchiatti) Cavalletti. She and her late husband Philip moved to Florida in 1973 from Elmira NY. Libby was an avid card player, enjoyed bingo, bowling, dancing and crochet. She was very devoted to her faith and was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church in Largo. Libby was known for her generosity in the $2.00 bill gifts to family and friends. She is predeceased by her husband Philip. Survivors include a son Lewis Lecceardone (Cathy), daughters, Judith Woodbury (Ron), Sandy Layton (Jerry), Phyl Marie Smith, Susie Davis, a brother Anthony Cavalletti, a sister Rose Carpenter, 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday August 17, 2015 at 11 am in St Jerome Catholic Church in Largo. Interment will follow in Serenity Gardens Memorial Park Lakeside Chapel Mausoleum. Public visitation hours are planned for Sunday August 16th from 2-6 pm at Serenity Funeral Home 13401 Indian Rocks Road in Largo. Memorial contributions in her memory will be accepted by St Jude's Children's Hospital or Florida Poodle Rescue.
