VAN WINKLE, Ellen B., 80, of Belleair, FL passed away peacefully on August 7, 2013, surrounded by her loving husband and children after an extended illness. Ellen was born in Hartford, CT and grew up in W. Hartford. She spent much of her family years in New Britain, CT prior to moving to Belleair. She graduated from Colby Sawyer College in New London, NH. She was a member of the Junior League, Daughters of the American Revolution and gave her time volunteering in her community. She is survived by her husband, Robert W., of 57 years; sons, Garret “Gary” (Lindi) and Schuyler (Dena); daughter, Kathryn (Charles) Hendricks; grandchildren, Parker, Baylie, Jillian, Kristin, Bradley and Kimberly. A memorial service will be held 10 am Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013 at Anona United Methodist Church, 13233 Indian Rocks Road, Largo.
