Eugene Lee Scanlin (84) from Elmira, NY passed away on May 14th, 2026. Lee was born 3/7/1942. He lived a very social life. He won the Soap Box Derby in Elmira, 1957, and graduated from Notre Dame High, 1960, Delhi Tech AAS degree, 1962, and SUNY Buffalo BS, 1972. He worked for Buffalo Psychiatric Center for 30 yrs, and for NYSDOT for 7 yrs preceding. He retired to Florida in 1997, and worked for Disney World for 4 yrs.
He is survived by wife Marcie A Fehl, son Jason and wife Rebecca, son-in-law Stuart Weisberg, grandchildren Deven & Valin Scanlin, Orion & Arielle Weisberg, brother Robert "Rick", sister Doris Ann Pryslopski, sisters-in-law Janet Wheeler, Helen Langfield, and Dorothy Scanlin, and numerous nephews, nieces, and their children. He was preceded in death by daughter Heather Lynn, whom he deeply missed, and brothers Paul, David, and Tim.
Lee was devoted to connecting family and friends. He was a man who remembered every birthday and always had a smile and time to share. He will be greatly missed and remembered fondly by all.
