Evelyn was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother (GG). She was born and raised in Mandan, North Dakota. She later moved to Seattle to take a job as a switchboard operator. She met her beloved Theodore while she lived in Seattle, and they fell in love and were later married. Evelyn lived in New York and New Jersey as the wife of a Naval Engineer, taking care of her three wonderful children. She enjoyed making her house a home where everyone felt welcome. Evelyn and Theodore moved to Florida in 1986 and enjoyed watching sunsets together, and she continued to enjoy watching sunsets with family throughout her lifetime. Evelyn liked to host family gatherings throughout the year, especially during the holidays. Every year, on Christmas Eve, she would light the fireplace in her Florida living room and her whole home would feel like Christmas. Evelyn loved her family dearly and found great joy in spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was always interested in hearing about what was going on in everyone's lives. Evelyn passed down the tradition of spending family time at the lake house in Minnesota creating many fun family memories for three generations. She was an enthusiastic reader and traveler and visited many countries around the globe. After twenty-eight years, Evelyn is now reunited with her beloved Theodore; we know he has been waiting for her. She was a parishioner of St. Justin Martyr Catholic Church in Seminole, and is predeceased by her parents, Eugene and Philippine Myers; and three brothers, James, Thomas, and Lawrence. Evelyn is survived by her three children: Theodore Becker and his wife Orletta; Phyllis Becker; Teresa Chiovaro and her husband Gerard. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Jared; Janis; Sarah and her husband Ethan; Michael; and Joseph and his wife Abby. She is predeceased by, and will now be reunited with, her first grandchild, Alexis. She has seven loving great grandchildren: David, Austin, Felicity, Aidan, Julia, Theodore and Avery. Evelyn had a long life surrounded by love and will be continued to be loved long after she is gone. We will all miss her dearly and will remember all of the wonderful memories and family traditions that she created.
