91, a lifetime resident of Largo, passed away August 31, 2010. She was born May 13, 1919 in Curlew, FL to Samuel and Elizabeth Ennis. Evelyn was a waitress and a homemaker and an avid bingo player. She is survived by her sons, George Wesley Hooker of Dunedin and Samuel Leroy Hooker of Marietta, GA; daughter, Gloria Jean Hewett of Clearwater; 8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Alfred Ennis; sisters, Madelyn Plantiff, Mabel McMullen and Barbara Thomas; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Mon, Sept 6 from 4-8pm. Funeral Service Tues, Sept 7 at 2pm, both at Moss Feaster Serenity Gardens in Largo (727-562-2080) with burial at Lone Pilgrim Cemetery in Seminole.
