Francine M. Murphy

November 5, 1942 – January 5, 2017

With great sadness, the family announces Francine's death in Clearwater, Florida, following a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Cherished wife of Mark James Murphy (2008) for 43 years and loving mother of Andrew (1994), Mark (Joanne Mei), Jeffrey (Andrea Cooper) and Erin (Jeffrey Barton). Devoted grandmother to Emma, Lauren and James Murphy and Patrick and Finnegan Barton. Caring sister to Susan and Chris Mahoney and Pierre Lauzon and sister-in-law to Neil and Susan Murphy and Barbara Murphy.

Francine was born in Montreal to Agnes and Fernand Lauzon and was a proud graduate of Montreal's St. Mary's Hospital School of Nursing, where she formed dear, lifelong friendships. Francine was devoted to her family and moved with them from Montreal to Toronto, Clearwater, FL and Princeton, NJ, making each move appear seamless. Following Mark's retirement, Francine and Mark enjoyed exploring many different countries, but Francine loved nothing more than to spend time with her family on the beach in Clearwater and at their cottage in Muskoka. Fran was a woman of great heart, strength and unending love for family and friends. We will miss her so very much.

Funeral and burial will take place in Toronto, Canada.
