Some of Francis's fondest memories were made growing up near Oneida Lake, where he had a family camp that became a gathering place for family and friends. He treasured the days filled with fishing and having fish fry gatherings, card games, and outdoor activities.
His younger years included his involvement in Boy Scouts and proudly serving his country in the United States Navy. His military service was an important part of his life and something he carried with pride.
Francis had a playful personality who loved dancing, socializing, and being the life of the party. He also found great enjoyment in online gaming and the friendships it brought. Later in life, he moved to Florida where he embraced the sunshine and a more relaxed pace, sharing those years with his longtime companion, Pat Gilfillan.
He will be missed by his surviving three children, Garry, Patti and Darlene along with his siblings, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and numerous extended family members and loved ones.
Francis leaves behind a family who loved him dearly. Though he has passed from this life, the joy he brought to those around him and the memories he crated will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Rest peacefully, Francis. You will be loved, remembered, and missed always.
