DINGER, Fred B. JR., 79, of Largo died on Monday Feb. 1, 2010. He was born in Providence, RI and moved to Clearwater/Largo in 1957. He was a mechanical engineer and retired from Honeywell as Director of Production. He served in the USAF during the Korean War as a fighter pilot. He was a member of the Belleview Biltmore Golf Club, the USAF Pilot Training Classes 52-G & H and the Honeywell Retiree Association. Throughout his life, Fred was active in sailing, worked with numerous youth groups promoting sports, and enjoyed many hobbies with family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Florence; daughters, Anne Fore (Donald); Gwen Wegner (William); sons, Fred B. Dinger III (Paige); LTC David W. Dinger (Brooke) and nine grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be given to the Morton Plant Foundation or the American Diabetes Association. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5-7 pm at Moss Feaster Funeral Home, 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, and a tribute will be held at the funeral home at 10 am, Friday, Burial will follow in Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park, Clearwater, FL.
