Gordon R Beardsley

Beardsley, Gordon R., 97 of Largo died Saturday June 23rd 2012 at the Heron House Indian Rocks in Largo. Born June 23, 1915 in Danbury, CT., he was the son of Harry and Inez Roth Beardsley. Gordon married his wife the late Helen Legan Beardsley August 31, 1943; she died April 10, 2005. He served in the Us Army Air Force during WWII. Gordon retired from Bunker Ramo in Trumbull, Ct. He was a member of the Holy Name Roman Catholic Church in Stamford, CT. and was a lifelong fan of the Yankees. Gordon was a direct descendant of William Beardsley, a freemason and member of the original Stratford Settlement who served as Deputy to the General Court in Hartford from 1645-1659. He is survived by his sons Gordon A. (Sharon) Beardsley of Largo, Richard D. (Jennifer) Beardsley of Stamford, CT. and Michael (Brenda) Beardsley of West Chesterfield, N.H., daughter Valerie (Brian) Denyer of Watertown, Ct., ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Graveside funeral services will take place on Friday, July 13th, 11:00am at St. John’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, 25 Camp Ave., Darien, Ct. 06820.
