

Harrison Milton Hammonds, 91, of Largo, passed away on Tuesday, March 7th. He was born in Plasterco, Virginia in 1925 to John and Cora G. Hammonds. He served in the US Military in the Navy during World War II from July 5th, 1943 to December 21st, 1945. Following his service he was employed with Continental Can Corporation until he retired.
Harrison’s greatest joys in life were taking care of his disabled daughter, Stephanie, with his wife, mowing the lawn, taking his three daughters on family outings, and sunning in his lawn chairs. In 1958 he began his lifelong journey as a Jehovah’s Witness. He devoted his life as an Elder with the Jehovah’s Witness Congregation and took pride in sharing his beliefs with others.
Harrison was predeceased by his parents, loving wife, Gladys, and daughter, Stephanie. He is survived by daughters; Linda Pollard and Sheila Trevino, grandchildren; Amy Trevino, Laurie Slaton, and Mark Pollard, and four great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind many loving family members in Virginia, Tennessee, Florida, and California.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. The Hammonds family has requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made to (insert chosen place here). Serenity Funeral Home is assisting the family will arrangements.
