Isabelle L. Hill

HILL, ISABELLE L., 94, died peacefully at home on Friday, December 2, 2016. She was born Isabelle Collin on September 20, 1922 in Alexandria MN where she lived for 30 years. As a young woman, she was an avid horseback rider and worked for the electric company in her hometown. Upon marrying Hedley Hill, Isabelle moved to Hebron CT in 1952 and lived there for 32 years. She worked for both Connecticut General and The Travelers insurance companies in Hartford CT for many years, retiring from The Travelers in 1982 as an executive secretary. She was active in the Episcopal Church in Hebron where she sang in the choir, participated in the women’s auxiliary and taught Sunday school. She loved to read, knit and crochet and enjoyed cooking and entertaining in her home. She and her husband moved to Palm Coast FL in 1984 where they enjoyed living for about 23 years before moving to Lake Seminole Square in Seminole, FL in July 2007. She was totally devoted to her husband Hedley of 62 years who predeceased her in April 2015. Isabelle is survived by a daughter, Beverly Putz of Parrish, FL; a granddaughter Kelly Tsanova; a grandson Christopher Wilson; and three great grandchildren.
