Still miss Jimmy Hall. Helped me buy and sell badges and other Police memorabilia. Good cop and great salesman.    But best of all he was a great family man.

Never worked together on any cases except the ones with Badges in them.   I met Jimmy thru his partner Julie who I knew from Gangs.   Similar interests but I couldn't hold a candle to the way he made people feel comfortable while handing him cash for a badge they tried to get for less or for nothing.  Ha Ha.      Always would say, "gotta get that price cuz that's what I got in it". Taught me about that trade.    Jimmy always smiled, whatever he was doing.  Called me when he was diagnosed again in Florida.  Never got down there.  I  was reluctant because my whole family was decimated by that disease and I didn't want to see Jimmy looking that way.  Talked to him on the phone.  He spoke matter of factly about the end approaching and seemed to accept it.  He is blessed with a great family who supported him and Joan during this bumpy road for both of them.  Going to miss him.  
   Isn't it coincidental that the Lord always seem to take the good ones...

I had the honor of knowing the gentle giant from the 12th District.  A more dedicated policeman doesn't exist.  He had the ability to light up a room when he was present.  Always had a smile on his face and I was proud to call him my friend.  Sometimes, especially at my age, you feel that life is not fair, especially when you loose the good ones.  But the Good Lord was kind enough to give us this man to share times and experiences with that will always remain in our hearts and minds.  But you know, in those quiet moments, a thought, a moment that you shared with Jimmy comes into your mind and brings a smile on your face.  I believe that's the gentle giant touching your heart.  Thank you Lord, for giving me the honor to have spend some time with this gentle man.  God Bless...

I am grateful to have called Jimmy my partner, and work beside him. Like so many others, Jimmy taught me so much about this job. 
But more than that Jimmy was also my friend, someone I could talk to,  laugh with and confide in.  When Emma was born, we talked all the time about being a father, and you took great pride in your family, and being a good dad.
I will never forget you my friend,  and I will miss you. But I am blessed to have so many great memories with you.   You touched so many lives, thank you for being a part of mine.
My deepest condolences to the Hall family and thank you for sharing  Jimmy with us.

Shared a lot of laughs Sunday mornings at Fresh Meadows with all the boys. 

When you get upstairs, speak to the Boss and make sure he keeps a few spots open in the unit for the  rest of us who are not that far behind you.

Jimmy was a great friend we met in Jellystone Campgrounds many years ago . him and Joani also  let me live with them when i was transferred to Chicago. He also taught me how to get around in Chicago i probably would have been lost all them time.
I sure him and a Jerry  are up there trying to catch up in the past years.

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I say goodbye to my dear friend and Brother in Blue & Green. 
Jimmy was such a great guy, from the first time we meet it was always good times and lots of laughs. He was one of the "lads" that really got me involved in the Emerald Society (now unfortunately most of them have started a chapter up in heaven), and for that I will always be grateful. 
Jimmy loved being the police and was a great policeman, but even more than that he truly loved his family, he would light up when he talked about them and how much he enjoyed doing things with them. 
Jimmy will be missed by all who knew him and will never be forgotten!

I worked with Jimmy in Area Four. Jimmy was the kindest, gentlest person I have ever met. He always had a smile on his face. You will be greatly missed by everyone Jimmy. RIP my brother, my friend.

Jimmy my friend, thank you for all the lasting lessons shown to us at the University of Illinois at Chicago Police Department. You will always be remembered, and the nicknames you assigned to us. I can't express how much Jimmy will be missed.  He always seemed to have a smile on his face and a good word to say to you.  He was, though, the real police when he needed to be and, at those times, we were especially glad to know him.  Godspeed, Jimmy!

I am proud to say, as many of us are, that Jimmy was my friend.  It was always a pleasure to work with him, as he exemplified what being a real Chicago Cop was all about.  This world lost a gentle giant and we, who knew him, lost a great friend.  The stars shine a little brighter tonight because heaven received a gentle giant of an Angel, and Jimmy I rang that bell so that you can have your wings because you've earn them.  RIP...

Jimmy, my cousin-in-law! So many memories of him being so gentle and compassionate, so wise and funny!! So grateful and blessed to be able to share the memories of when he and his wife, my cousin Joan, were dating and took us girls along, (my dear departed cousin Sue who was more like a sister to me, and my own sister as well).  I got a chance to see the city like never before, Old Town, swimming and hanging out around Lake Michigan,  miniature golf, etc.  Loved your first furnished apartment where we all spent the night, talking and laughing and having fun and the second apartment where there was an attic bar where we played, singing to the  American Graffitti soundtrack among other great music.  So much more to share!!  Thank you for leaving such a loving impression in my memories and in my heart, you weren't "blood" but you were better!!

My whole life was so much fun because of y’all hugs and kisses the concerts the hunting the races the love and support tell poppy and papaw we’re missing y’all so much 

Fondest memories are Jellystone campgrounds and spending summers up in Chicago with him and Joan as a kid watching the races on clyborne ave.  Will miss ya Jimmy tell pops I said hi.
