DeEtte was born on April 2, 1946, in Greencastle, Indiana, to Ellis and Marjorie Haltom. She graduated from Cloverdale High School and later earned her bachelor’s degree from Roane State College. On October 23, 1965, she married the love of her life, Jackie Alexander.
A devoted homemaker, DeEtte dedicated her life to caring for her family. She was a proud member of the American Legion Auxiliary and found great joy in crocheting, a passion through which she lovingly created many cherished items for family and friends.
DeEtte is survived by her sons, Ronald Alexander and Jackie Alexander; her daughter, Margie Newsome; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She will be remembered for her kindness, creativity, and unwavering love for her family.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Home in Largo, Florida.
