

Jaylin was raised by his Dad Hiram, grandmother Juana & aunts Santia, Vivian & Marines, all having the mentality of "it takes a village" and showering Jaylin with all that we were able. Upon exiting the USMC in 2002, Jaylin and Dad moved to Largo, Florida in 2003 when Jaylin was 10 yrs old.
Jaylin grew up on the typical Saturday morning cartoons like Power Rangers & Marvel. With the newer digital era, he enjoyed video gaming well into his latter years with his brothers, sisters and a multitude of mutual friends throughout childhood, teenage years & military brothers & sisters.
Jaylin attended Clearwater high School and Marine Corps Jr ROTC and graduated from Florida career college in June 2013.
He always had a heart to help others & started working as a counselor/mentor at several Mental Health Counseling establishments and as a health technician for a dialysis center while starting his young family in his early twenties, welcoming his daughter Jade at the age of 24. Jaylin started his DOD career with Bay Pines Veterans Affairs Medical Center in St. Petersburg, FL in 2021 as a Medical Support Assistant, being promoted to Advanced MSA in 2022. Jaylin was married in November 2022 to Bianca Sarcone. Jaylin continued to his higher calling and joined the Army Reserves in 2023 at the age of 29.
Specialist Jaylin Perez, of Largo, Florida, served his country honorably as a Military Police Officer in the United States Army. He began his service at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, where he completed both Basic Combat Training and Advanced Individual Training. He was then assigned to the 320th Military Police Company, his home unit. During his military career, SPC Perez deployed twice in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve, a critical NATO mission deterring Russian aggression along NATO’s Eastern European Flank. His first overseas tour was with the 320th MP Company, during which he earned the Army Achievement Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, and Army Reserve Component Overseas Training Ribbon, recognizing his exemplary service in a forward-deployed environment.
Demonstrating extraordinary initiative and commitment, SPC Perez volunteered for a second overseas deployment, this time with the 303rd Military Police Company, further reflecting his selfless devotion to duty. His additional decorations include the Armed Forces Reserve Medal with M Device and the Army Service Ribbon. For his dedication to duty and service, SPC Perez was posthumously awarded the Army Commendation Medal. SPC Perez’s death overseas in the line of duty stands as a profound testament to his courage, loyalty, and deep commitment to his nation, his fellow Soldiers, and his family. His legacy will endure in the hearts of those who served beside him and those who loved him.
Jaylin passed on July 8th, 2025 and is survived by his wife Bianca, Daughter Jade, parents Hiram & Lori Perez & Maria Aponte, Maternal Grandmother Zaida Aponte, Paternal Grandmother Juana Diaz, Sisters Stephanie Quinones, Natalia Gibbs-Aybar, Julia Dapont, Scarlett Dapont, Brothers Jaden Perez, Julian Perez, Francisco Rivera III, Jaydian Demetrious-Aponte, Jean Aybar, Aunts Vivian Delgado, Marines Delgado, Santia Gondry, cousins Maya Saez, Jesus Gondry and Lyani Gondry.

Funeral Services will be held at Anona United Methodist Church starting at 10am on August 2nd with internment at Serenity Memorial Gardens at 1pm following a procession, both located at 13401 Indian Rocks Rd, Largo, FL 33774
