Stillwell, Jean C., 93, of Largo, FL, went to be with the Lord on November, 27th, 2019. She will be missed by her loving family and friends.

Jean was born in Atlantic City, NJ to James and Lucy McCarthy. She met her husband, Philip, at the local roller skating rink when they were 21 and they fell in love, as Phil would say, “they’ve been skating together ever since”, through 67 years of marriage. Together they had four children. They relocated to Pinellas County in 1968 from New Jersey. In Florida they found sunshine, and they made a new home. Jean loved raising her family and watching it grow. She also enjoyed baseball, especially her Phillies and then her Rays.

Jean is survived and remembered by her loving husband, Philip, their children; Phil Stillwell Jr. (Debi), Robert Stillwell (Lynn), Patrick Stillwell (Carol), and Jean Almanza (Peter), nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. In addition to an abundance of much-loved, extended family, she is also survived by her sister, Marylou Venella (Dave) and predeceased by her brothers Jimmy and Mickey McCarthy, all three have been life-long residents of Runnemede, NJ.

Funeral Mass will be held at 9:30am on Saturday, December 7th, 2019 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Largo, FL. Burial will follow at Serenity Gardens Memorial Park.

I'm Karen (Guatemala). I need to tell you that I 💙 your mom very very much, that I am going to miss her Christmas letters so bad. I am so grateful to God because she was an Angel to me. I remember when she told me "we'll take you to church every Sunday morning" in august 1990 when I got to the US... I learned so many things from her, I know that my Angel 😇 is in Heaven now. 🙏🏼 But, I sure we'll miss her smile ! You know... I 💙 blue because of her. When I came to Guatemala my dream was to have a home just liken their home , sweet home... I can keep writing so many things that I admire and love from your mom Jean. For now, I just need to tell you that She is in my heart 💙 and She always will be. Thank you for opening your heart and letting me to keep your mom in my💙 heart too. I love them forever. Please take care yourself and take care of your dad 🙏🏼 specially, give him a hug and please let him know that I love him so much too. Love, Karen

Glad she is with Jesus and on the streets of gold. Sorry for your loss. I have lots of good memories with her, and her chli-con-carni. Hahhah! That memory makes me laugh. Your family was so important i brought my wife on my honeymoon to meet your mom and dad.
When the other kids went home your mom would call mine so I could go to lake with your dad and you guys. It was. So compassionate since my dad was so ill. Loved her.

Judi and I and our two oldest children, Bill and Bev still talk about the Easter Dinner we had at Aunt Jean’s in Florida. We were on vacation at Disney and went over to Aunt Jean and Uncle Phil’s for Easter Diner. We were supposed to go to Sonny’s Bar-B-Q but when we got there it was closed. We returned to the house and ordered Little Caesar’s Pizza and ate in the back yard. Bev and Bill still talk about the greatest Easter diner ever.
