Joey Obordo was born May 12, 1965 in Dapitan City, Manila, Philippines and passed away May 19, 2023 at home in Flower Mound, TX. Joey was a proud and loving husband, father, son, brother, (f)uncle, nephew, friend, and disciple of God.
He is preceded into Heaven by his mother, Remedios, and his father, Clarencio. He is survived by his wife, Julie, of 33 years; his sons, Justin and Jeremy; his daughters, Jessica and Breeánna Purdy; his sisters, Fe, Roselle, and Claire; his brother, Manuel; granddaughters, Aubree and Rylie; and many family members and close friends.
Joey was a R&D Engineer at Essilor of America for 29 years and most recently was a Learning Ambassador at Amazon for 2 years. He had a passion for sports, especially golf & tennis, which he enjoyed watching and playing with his friends and family. Joey’s love, faith, and selflessness was felt deeply by all he encountered. And the greatest is Love.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 30, 4-7pm at Serenity Funeral Home, 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, FL. Joey's Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, May 31, 10am at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church 1955 S. Belcher Road, Clearwater, FL 33764 with a Graveside Service to follow at Serenity Gardens Memorial Park.
