

Maffia, Joseph Thomas 81 of Clearwater, FL passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2012. Joe was born October 5, 1930 in Brooklyn, New York to Thomas and Mary (Ferrincielli) Maffia. They precede him in death. Joe moved to this area in 1993 coming from Malverne, NY. Joe enjoyed a long career as Sales Supervisor of Clare Rose, Inc., Patchogue, NY. Joe served as an usher at Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Malverne, NY for 25 years. He and Terry took great pride in the fact that all five of their daughters were baptized and married at O.L.L.. Joe owned a Chicken Delight franchise in Brighton Beach Brooklyn. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Mens Club of St. Brendan's Catholic Church, and served in the US Navy. Joe was a devoted family man who was known for his sense of humor, his love of travel, baseball, movies, music, Italian food...and a good cigar. Surviving is his loving wife of 58 years Terry Maffia of Clearwater, FL along with five daughters, Patricia Miceli (Nicky) of NY, Maryann Maffia of KY, Susan Maffia-LaBatto (Frank) of NY, Joanne Pampinella (Steve) of AZ and Lori Pellegrino (Jimmy) of Palm Harbor, FL and Four grandchildren, Joanne, Nicholas, Ann Marie and Joseph.
