Juanita Fayrene Wyatt Brown

Fayrene was born in Somerset, KY on September 23rd 1934. She was one of 5 children of Hobert and Lela Gooch.

Fayrene was married to Col James Gordon Wyatt Sr. They had 3 children, James Gordon Wyatt Jr, Marci Fay Gonzales, Kristi Kay VanHoy. Later in life Fayrene met and married Col Ivan Doyle Brown.

Fayrene graduated from Lebanon High School. She was active in future homemakers of America and homecoming queen. She continued her education in the School of Cosmetology and was the youngest graduate of the school at the time. She went on to be a model for a local hair stylist. For 26 years, she was an active and devoted Officers’ wife. She held various leadership positions in the Air Force Officers’ Wives’ Club. One of her fondest memories was organizing the Nancy Reagan luncheon at the White House. She enjoyed being active in the Republican Women’s Club, Fellowship Luncheons at Church, walking on the beach and finding flowers on long walks. She loved being around people and became a caregiver for many years. She was an active member of Indian Rocks Baptist Church. Her favorite trip with her church group was the Footsteps of Paul in the Holy Land. Above all, was her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Fayrene is preceded in death by parents Hobert and Lela Gooch, her brothers Edward Lee Gooch, Jimmy Dale Gooch and Col Wyatt and Col Brown.

Fayrene is survived by brother Boyce Kenneth Gooch; sister Vickie Lynn Wyatt; son James Gordon Wyatt Jr and wife Jennifer, grandchildren Tucker James, Riley Faye; daughter Marci Fay Gonzales and husband Roy, grandchildren Lela Fay, Brandy Nicole and husband Preston with great grandchild Georgia Fay, grandchild Roy III; daughter Kristi Kay VanHoy and husband Ted, grandchildren Karla Kay, great grandchildren Cannon Wyatt, Colton Elijah; grandchild Sarah Jean and husband Steve, great grandchildren Wyatt Joseph, Jonah Luke and Rosemary Jean; grandchild Luke Wyatt.

A celebration of life service will be held at Serenity Gardens Memorial Park, Largo Florida on October 7th 2022 at 4 o’clock PM.
