June was born in 1925 in the United Kingdom. June grew up in the English countryside with two sisters. June married Gene Cofield, and moved to the United States. As a military officer’s wife, June was a gracious and skillful event planner, hosting countless dinner parties that included glamorous guests such as Clark Gable. Among, her many talents, June was especially proficient in needle point and knitting. June created such magnificent needlework pieces that they were hung as artwork. And June’s knitted work was adorn as fashionable garments.
June is survived by one nephew, Terrell Tannen who resides in Los, Angeles California.
June especially loved animals and nature. June appreciated a beautiful sunset, the affection of animals and dear friends. June loved to sing along and dance to Roger’s and Hammerstein’s musicals and big band music. June could be lulled to sleep by Frank Sinatra.
June was beloved by many as she showed genuine kindness and consideration to everyone. June commonly wore a wonderful smile that could light up a room. June loved socializing and delectable sweets, especially vanilla ice-cream.
A Memorial will be held at the Heron House at 2050 East Bay Drive, Largo, FL 33771, (727) 559-7776 on October 9, 2013 at 4:00 pm.
June is now at Moss Feaster of Largo and will rest beside her husband Gene Cofield at Bay Pines in St. Petersburg Florida.
