Kamila (Rokicki) Tatarczuk, 96, of Largo, peacefully passed away on Friday, August 28, 2020 in the presence of Father Emery who administered last rites. She was born in Zwiryno, Poland. She was the youngest of four children. She and her family lived through and endured World War II in Poland. A couple of years after war, she met Jozef Tatarczuk and they married in September 1947. They would have celebrated their 73rd anniversary this year. They made a decision to emigrate to the United States in 1960 with their two children. They resided in Salem, Massachusetts. Kamila worked as a seamstress/tailor for the leather fashion industry at New England Sportswear Company in Peabody, Massachusetts. She was an active member in St. Joseph church and belonged to St. Joseph's Holy Rosary Society (Peabody, MA). Kamila and Jozef moved to Largo, Florida for retirement in 1987 from Salem, Massachusetts. Once here, they involved themselves in the Polish community and joined the John Paul Center, in Clearwater and the joined Polonia, St. Petersburg and St. Jerome's in Largo.
She is preceded in death by a daughter, Czesia (1956, Poland) and her husband, Jozef (2013).
She is survived by her son, Thaddeus Tatarczuk (Janet) of Groveland, Ma; daughter, Irena Simons (Scott) of Seminole, FL ; grandchildren, Bryan Tatarczuk (Maria) of Bedford, MA, Scott Tatarczuk (Sarah) of Tamworth, New Hampshire and Adam Simons of Salt Lake City, Utah; great-grandchildren, Ella and Nicholas Tatarczuk and Acre and Lagan Tatarczuk.
A visitation will be held at Serenity Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 8th from 5pm-7pm with a Rosary service beginning at 5.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Jerome's Catholic church in Largo, FL at 10:30am followed by an Interment Service at Chapel Mausoleum in Serenity Gardens Memorial Park. \
In lieu of flowers please feel free to make a donation to the charity of your choice or you may make arrangements with your priest to have a mass be celebrated in her memory at your church.
