Laura Lynn Stoddard

Laura was born on November 13, 1969, to parents Sandra and Jim Scott. She was a 1987 graduate of Boca Ciega High School and attended St. Petersburg College. On August 22, 1992, she exchanged vows with her beloved husband, James L Stoddard Jr., and they continued to share a blessed marriage for 31 years.

Laura was known for her positive spirit, ever-present smile, keen sense of humor, and love for family and friends. She found fulfillment in her career as a preschool teacher, enriching the lives of countless children and their families with her warmth and compassion. She enjoyed home décor, retail therapy, and cherished moments spent walking daily with her husband and kids. Music was an important focus for Laura as she loved listening to Blake Shelton, Keith Urban and Bon Jovi. Her favorite genre, however, was Christian music as it always reinforced her tremendous Faith.

Laura is survived by her husband, James L Stoddard Jr.; children, Katelyn Doherty (Son-in-Law Nathan), John Stoddard, and Zachary Stoddard; grandchildren, Easton James and Ivy Lynn Doherty; sister, Susan Whaley; brother, Tom Scott and an amazing extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces.

Friends and family are invited to gather in a Celebration of Life ceremony for Laura at Anona United Methodist Church 13233 Indian Rocks Rd, Largo, FL 33774 on April 1, 2024 at 5 PM.

As a celebration, please dress in positive colored clothing and note that children are welcomed.
