I moved to Old Town in 1989 and still had my college furniture and no art on my walls. I wondered in to Lenore's shop one day and bought two Vanity Fair caricatures. That one encounter led to years of visits to the shop. Lenore was as valuable as any trinket or treasure that ever caught my eye or wallet over the years!
My love of art and my travels around the globe pursuing it began right there that day in Lenore's shop. What a privilege it was to have known her.

We are so glad to have met Lenore after Randy and Tennie moved to Spencer. Right away it was evident that she was a great lady and had such a positive influence on her family. We hope the memories carry you through the tough days ahead and give you comfort. Curt and Sam Geyer

An email sent to the ASPEC Members.
Dear Members,
Sadly we must inform you of the passing of Lenore Binzer, beloved wife of Bill and mother of 5 wonderful children. It is of comfort to note that all of her children, and their spouses, were here this weekend to be with their parents, at this most difficult time.
Although Lenore (and Bill) have been members of ASPEC for just a few short years, her warmth & sparkling personality will always be remembered. She was a great lover of the arts and has lectured at OLLI & ASPEC on Antique British Silver and the Decorative Arts. Lenore was the owner of Lenore & Daughters Antiques, a business she shared with her family for over 25 years.
Among her other achievements, aside for being a great wife, mother & grandmother, Lenore was a member of the American Delegation which welcomed the first visit of women in government, of the People's Republic of China.
We send our sincere condolences to Bill and the Binzer family. They will be in our thoughts & prayers as they return to Virginia for the services and internment at Arlington National Cemetery.
With deep respect for a special lady,
Julia
