Shippy, Lucia Gallo, 94, of Largo, FL passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at her home. Lucia was born on October 10, 1917 in Woodhaven, NY. She moved to this area in 1984 from Tallman, NY. Lucia retired as a secretary from Rockland Community College. She was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church and a member of the VFW Aux #10094 and also of the Martha Mary Guild. Lucia was predeceased by husbands, Anthony J. Gallo and William "Pete" Shippy. She is survived by her loving daughter Lucia Ceron of Suffern, NY, four grandchildren Jason Morgan, Shane Morgan, Anthony Gallo and Lucia Gallo along with 3 great grandchildren, a brother Alfonso Guarino and a sister Emilia Guarino both of Fort Pierce, FL. Memorial contributions may be offered to the American Cancer Society, 4801 86th Avenue North, Pinellas Park, FL. Friends are calling on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 from 2 pm – 6 pm at the Moss Feaster Funeral Home, 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, FL. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at 10:30 am at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 10895 Hamlin Blvd., Largo, FL.
