Luke Monroe Jenkins

Luke Monroe Jenkins 79 of Clearwater FL died June 26, 2011 at Largo Medical Center. He was born in Live Oak Florida and has been a local resident since 1943. He began his employment at Itchy Crawford's Pure Oil and Phillips 66 Service Station in Largo, and also worked for Bryan's Tire Company, and Goodwill Industries. He retired from PSTA where he was employed as a janitor. Mr. Jenkins also had his own lawn and garden service. He was an avid bicyclist and a member of Praise Cathedral Church of God in Pinellas Park. Survivors include stepchildren; Patricia Scarfone, Donna Dailey, Peggy Bosco and James Wilson, a brother Randy Adams, sisters Lilla Kennedy, Mary Berry and Joan DelPino, 30 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Mabel Jenkins, parents Crawford and Quintilla (Faulkner) Jenkins, stepchildren William Wilson and Gwen Billingham, brother Levis Jenkins, and sisters Marie Baggett and Maude Gardner. Funeral services will be held on Thursday June 30, 2011 at 2:30 pm at Moss Feaster Funeral Home Serenity Gardens Chapel 13401 Indian Rocks Road Largo FL 33774, (727) 562-2080. Burial will follow in Serenity Gardens Memorial Park. Public visitation hours are scheduled for Thursday at the funeral home from 1 pm until time of service.
