Margaret Aileen Christner, age 85, of Seminole, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 29, 2026. She was born on May 24, 1941 in West Tottenham England to Charles & Rosina Carter. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother (Oma), great-grandmother, and a dear friend to so many.
In her early years, Margaret graduated from Secretarial School, then met and married her first husband, Willis Monon Fletcher, Jr. (Buddy) and relocated from England to the US where she was an Executive Secretary at Feather Sound in Clearwater, followed by opening a secretarial service in Largo, and later, opened and shared a law office on Indian Rocks Beach with her husband, Alan S. Christner, Jr.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, Charles and Rosina Carter; her husband, Alan S. Christner, Jr., her Step-son Richard R. Christner; and Grandson Edward H. Christner, Jr. She is survived by her children, Katherine Fletcher Giner (Alan) of Delray Beach, Florida, Karen Good (Kevin) of Seminole, Florida, Step-son Alan S. Christner III (Michelle) of Simpsonville, Kentucky, Step-son Edward H. Christner (Charity) of Loxahatchee, Florida and Step-daughter Pamela Christner of Old Town, Florida and her grandchildren Justin, Brooke, Ella, Adam, Daniel, Steven (Kim), Laura (Chris), Patrick (Megan) numerous great-grandchildren and many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
She is also survived by her sister, Ann Bridger of England; and her nieces and nephews, Kay (John), Dawn (Andrew), and great-nieces and nephews, Mark, Rachel, Emma and Luke.
She had a love for life that was contagious and impossible to ignore. She enjoyed playing tennis, going to the beach, traveling, going out with her girlfriends, cooking, tending to her plants and flowers, and making memories with the people she loved. She especially loved to dance with the love of her life, her husband, Alan.
Her greatest legacy is the love she had for her family. She will be remembered, not only for the life she lived, but for the joy, laughter, and love she brought into the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Serenity Funeral Home, 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, FL 33774, on Thursday, October 15, 2026, with visitation from 11:00-12pm, followed by Service at Serenity Funeral Home from 12:00-1:00 pm, then Inurnment Ceremony at Bay Pines National Cemetery from 1:30-2pm, followed by a private Reception to share stories and memories.
