Margaret Aileen Christner

Margaret Aileen Christner, age 85, of Seminole, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 29, 2026. Born on May 24, 1941, in West Tottenham, England, to Charles and Rosina Carter. Margaret built a life filled with love, laughter, family, and friendship. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother (Oma) and great-grandmother, beloved sister, and a dear friend to many.

In her early years, Margaret graduated from Secretarial School before meeting and marrying her first husband, Willis Monon Fletcher, Jr. (Buddy) in England, then beginning a new chapter of her life in the United States. She worked as an Executive Secretary at Feather Sound in Clearwater, later opened a secretarial service in Largo, and eventually opened and shared a law office on Indian Rocks Beach with her beloved husband, Alan S. Christner, Jr. Throughout her life, Margaret brought energy, fun, and warmth to everything she did; she was a bright light in the world and will be missed more than words can express.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Rosina Carter; her husband of 38 years, Alan S. Christner, Jr.; her stepson, Richard R. Christner; and her grandson, Edward H. Christner, Jr. She is lovingly remembered by her devoted daughters, Katherine Fletcher Giner (Alan) of Delray Beach, Florida, and Karen Good (Kevin) of Seminole, Florida; her stepchildren, Edward H. Christner (Charity) of Loxahatchee, Florida, Pamela Christner of Old Town, Florida, and Alan S. Christner III (Michelle) of Simpsonville, Kentucky; her grandchildren, Justin, Brooke, Ella, Adam, Daniel, Steven (Kim), Laura (Chris), and Patrick (Megan); numerous great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly. She is also lovingly remembered by her dear sister, Ann Bridger of England; her nieces and nephews, Kay (Jon) and Dawn (Andrew); and her great-nieces and nephews, Mark, Rachel, Emma, and Luke.

Margaret had a love for life that was contagious and she lived her life to the fullest. She found joy in playing doubles tennis, spending time on Redington Beach with her girls and best friend JoJo, traveling to Europe, cooking a great Southern meal, tending to her many plants and flowers, and enjoying a glass of red wine. Most of all, she treasured making memories with the people she loved. She especially loved dancing with the love of her life, her husband, Alan. But her greatest legacy is the deep and enduring love she had for her family. Margaret will be remembered not only for the full life she lived, but for the joy, laughter, kindness, and love she brought to everyone fortunate enough to know her.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Serenity Funeral Home, 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, FL 33774, on Thursday, October 15, 2026, with visitation from 11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m., followed by a service at Serenity Funeral Home from 12:00–1:00 p.m., an inurnment ceremony at Bay Pines National Cemetery from 1:30–2:00 p.m. A private reception will follow to share cherished memories and celebrate Margaret's life. In lieu of flowers, you may also make a donation in Margaret’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org
