I stumbled upon this and felt compelled to let the Heerschap family know that I am so very sorry for their loss and have such strong fond memories of Mrs. Heerschap. I remember her driving all of us girls in the VW bus to Pioneer Girls. She certainly left an impression of unwavering strength, support and kindness. I remember the vegetable garden/compost pail, swimming in the Gulf... and when I think of Mrs. Heerschap, I picture and hear her whistling!! Wonderful memories of a fantastic family/childhood!

It's hard realizing I can't just pick up the phone and call you, Mom. But, every time I get sad, I know you are rejoicing with the many saints before you in heaven. One day we will be together again! Thank you for all your love, your concern (even to the very end, asking about my band-aid!), your patience and your smiles. I will miss playing games with you & telling you about the crazy things my kids do. I love you Mom.

"How much we will miss having Marianna with us at the Women's Bible Study. Her faithfulness was an inspiration. Her ability to support and encourage leaves many, many women with rich memories of her ministry. I appreciated her wisdom and kindness and genuine concern for all the women in her classes. Heaven is richer for her presence" - Karen Y. Davis

To the Heerschap Family: Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, for we walk by faith, not by sight. Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord. - 2 Corinthians 5:6-8

"Words can only somewhat express how much love and gratitude I have for you. I couldn't have had a better mom! Your example of how to live out your faith will continue to be a factor in my continued growth. When I think of what it means to be gracious and kind, I think of you."
