Marilyn Wilson Mattson

Marilyn Jean Wilson Mattson was born in Largo, Pinellas County, Florida on 10 May 1925 to Albert Lynn Wilson and Mildred Blanche Hoover. She passed away at home surrounded by her family on 26 August 2023 in Largo, Pinellas County Florida.

Marilyn was married to Einar Matt Mattson on 17 September 1943 in Saint Petersburg, Pinellas County Florida and widowed on September 27, 1960, while living in West Allis, Milwaukee County Wisconsin. They had five Children: Jean Jill (Boyer), Carl Benjamin, Richard Einar, Steven Albert, and Larry James. She is survived by two sisters, Julie and Emily and three sons, Richard and wife Sandi, Steven, and Larry.

Marilyn had nine grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.

Marilyn was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Marilyn retired in 1988 as an Office Manager for United Surgical, a division of Pfizer Corp. where she had worked for 18 years.

Marilyn was very involved in family history and gathered a voluminous library of her Wilson family English and Scotch-Irish ancestral information going back to the 1760’s.
