Mary W. Witte Dixon

Mary W. Dixon passed away in Madeira Beach on March 15, 2013. She was born in Flint, Michigan. She was married for 44 years to the love of her life, the late Charles Dixon. During their marriage they lived in Cincinnati, Ohio but in the late 60’s decided to purchase homes in Canada and here in Florida. They enjoyed life during the summer in Canada and spent the winters here in Madeira beach. Mary was an avid golfer achieving a hole in one at the Tides golf and country club. Among her many activities, she also enjoyed bowling with her friends and spending time with her family. Above all Mary was known for her joy of life and a great sense of humor as she was always a pleasure to be around. Mary will be missed by her loving family and friends.

Mary Dixon is predeceased by her husband Charles Dixon and his daughters, Sharon G. Dixon, Susan G. Dixon. Also preceding her in death are her 3 brothers: George Witte, Robert Witte, James Witte, and 3 sisters: Helen Jankowski (Witte), Lucille Simpson (Witte) and Margaret Spire (Witte).

Survivors include her daughter Susanne Ness, 6 grandchildren: Andrew Ness, Sarah Ness Terrell, Katherine Ness Barker, Lauren Conley, Dana Conley James, Ryan Conley, and 6 great grandchildren.

A visitation is planned for Monday March 25, 2013 at 10 am with a graveside service to follow at 11 am. The family ask in lieu of flowers to make donations to Suncoast Hospice, 5771 Rossevelt Blvd. Clearwater, Fl 33760.
