Matt was probably the kindest, most thoughtful and compassionate person I had the privilege of working with.  I was fortunate enough to work with him on several projects, and his genuine love of people shown through EVERYTHING he touched.  I would watch him lift up people with his words, his smile, and his sincerity, and I'd marvel at how everyone loved him for it.  He treated everyone the way that we all want to be treated, and he was a role model to me for compassion.  And while nothing was more important to him than his family, I know a lot of people who thought him to be the most important person in their lives.  Just by being you, he made you want to be a better person.

This world is a little less bright without him in it, but we all should look forward to seeing him in the next.  Till then, I'll miss you my friend.  Enjoy the view.

I am so saddened today to learn of the loss of our good friend Matt. I had the privilege of working with Matt at DEWALT from his days in Chicago and then when he moved to Florida. He was one unique guy who most certainly lived his life with passion and honesty, talked easily about his amazing family and how he wanted to be the best at everything he did. We will miss him, and I will definitely miss my 'Work of Concrete Buddy". Sending prayers of comfort to Matt's family at this painful time.

I am so sorry and heartbroken for you, Dave. Although I didn't know Matt, it's clear that he learned from the best. He followed your footsteps in building strong relationships through kindness, respect, and empathy for others. I pray that God helps you, MaryBeth, Marc, and his beloved Carson to deal with losing Matt, knowing that he had a profound impact on those who knew and loved him.

I remember Matt as a baby. His dad was involved in racing with my ex.I'm heartbroken forMarybeth and Dsve losing another son and Marc  losing another brother.I will be keeping them in my prayers.

My sincerest condolences to Matt’s family. He was a great friend and a true team player. During my time at DeWalt we shared countless memories together including 2 Coke Zero 400 races, several networking events, golf outings, and countless concrete pours in the middle of the night.  Matt was a caring man and from day 1 with the Tampa DeWalt team he made me feel welcomed into the company. My deepest condolences to the family. I was hired on by Matt Bergerstock to the Chicago service center, where he mentored a drive to make something of myself in this world. He spoke frequently of the love he has for his father and especially his nephew including dirt bikes and visiting his home. His family and those he called family were integral pillars in his life, and also the Tampa Bay Lightning. What I will remember him for most is the kind heart he had. He always gave you the time of day and if you needed him or an ear to bend, he was there. My heart goes out to the Bergerstock family, he touched so many people's lives and made a profound impact on many of them. Matthew will be missed deeply, so long brother.

My sincere condolences to the Bergerstock family.  I have worked and known Matt for the past year and a half as one of his teammates with Stanley Black & Decker team here in Tampa.  He wasn't just a co-worker, but a dear friend to Zak, Randy and I.  He was always there to lend a helping hand whenever one of us asked.  I loved his stories on weekend visits with Carson, Dad and riding dirt bikes.  Matt was a very giving person, and he gave me the greatest gift anyone could ask for and that is friendship which will endure forever.

Im so sorry to hear about Matt..he was the most caring, sweetest, and well mannered man I ever met...we grew up together in school and we kept in touch as he moved away ...our last video chat was laughs and talking about old school days..and him showing off his muscles 💪 from the gym lol .I told him how great he looked and how hot he was...his face got so red lol we both laughed and said it was time to meet up again but unfortunately that never happened....ill always love matt as a great friend hes in my heart forever RIP Matt see u again someday 💜🩵💜thoughts and prayes to the family...God has gained an angel 😇 💙

This world will miss Matt's heart. He was a genuine man. I pray his nephew Carson knows how much Matt loved him. Matt would share stories of him and his nephew Carson. He would completely light up when speaking of Carson. Prayers to Matt's family.

We will always remember Matt as a well mannered, intelligent and handsome young professional who enjoyed moving around the country. Every time I wish someone “Happiest of Birthdays “ I think of  and will continue to think of him.
