We celebrate the life of Max Shimer. He passed away Sunday, May 11, 2025. He was a graduate of Clearwater High School with a Bachelor's Degree from Florida Metropolitan University. He was a Deputy Chief and paramedic with the Safety Harbor Fire Department, marathon runner, and a 3rd degree black belt. He played the piano, violin, and saxophone as a member of the Clearwater Community Band. Max loved his family and friends, riding his motorcycle, staying in North Carolina and his cats. He had a sly smile, great laugh, sharp wit, and always throwing out a good pun. Max was the husband of Barbara Shimer, father of Stephanie Summers and Dianna Gibson, grandfather of Aiden Summers, Julia Devol, and Morgan Herrera. He was brother to Charles Shimer and Gary Shimer and son of Donna Berg and Maurice Shimer. He was someone you could always count on and was so loved. He leaves a huge hole in our family.
