

Michael was born in Jacksonville, Florida, into a Navy family and spent his childhood experiencing life in many places as his family moved often. He grew up in Florida, Virginia, Louisiana, Maine, and even Bermuda. These experiences helped shape the outgoing and adaptable person he became throughout his life.
Michael was known for his gregarious personality, quick wit, and thoughtful nature. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a way of making people feel comfortable wherever he went. Professionally, Michael built a successful career as a sales manager in marketing. He was exceptionally talented at what he did and was recognized many times for his outstanding performance, earning numerous awards and top sales honors throughout his career.
Outside of work, Michael’s true passion was music. He loved playing his guitar, composing songs, and singing. Music was one of the ways he expressed himself and connected with others, and those who knew him will remember the joy he found in sharing it.
Michael graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in business, a foundation that helped launch the career he was so proud of.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard William Weir and his brother, David Joseph Weir. He is survived by his loving mother, Joyce Ann Weir; his sisters, Catherine Weir Devine and Elizabeth Weir Atkinson; and his devoted companion, Melissa; along with extended family members and friends who will miss his lively spirit, humor, and kind heart.
To his sisters, Michael was more than a brother—he was a lifelong companion in memories stretching back to childhood moves, family adventures, and the unique bond that comes from growing up together. His laughter, stories, and music were a constant presence in their lives, and his thoughtful nature and playful humor made him someone they could always count on to bring light to any moment. The love shared between them will remain a treasured part of their lives forever.
Michael will be remembered for his warmth, his laughter, his musical soul, and the genuine way he cared for those around him. His presence brought energy and light to every room he entered.
Though his song ended too soon, the music of his life will continue to echo in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
