ZIMMERMAN, Michael George age 74 of Redington Beach passed away Thursday October 30, 2014 at St Petersburg General Hospital. Michael was born in Geneva IL to Lois and William Zimmerman in 1940. The family lived in St Charles IL. In high school, he was a track athlete, basketball, and football player. While attending Denver University, he played football and studied business. Upon completion of his college studies, he joined the Air Force Air Police in Chicago, before working in the family automobile sales business full time. When Michael was 32 , he met Christine (Clark), who he later married. He loved the beach, golf, tennis, travel and was an avid sports fan. Michael was the father of Skott, Tiffini, Lance, Anthony and Nicole and grandfather of Caitlin, Sydney, Riley, Mason, Evie, Audrey, Josef, and Aiden. Mike also leaves behind his faithful companion Westies, Vegas and KiKi. Funeral services will be held on Monday Nov 3, 2014 at 11 am at Serenity Funeral Home 13401 Indian Rocks Road in Largo. Interment will follow in Serenity Gardens Memorial Park Garden of Prayer. Visitation hours are planned for Sunday Nov 2nd at the funeral home from 3 to 6 pm.
