She was the daughter of John and Barbara Schlenk of Hamilton, Ohio. She graduated from Hamilton High School in 1941. Judy married Ralph L. Pearson, also of Hamilton, on January 19, 1943, in Chandler, Arizona where Ralph was stationed in the military.
While raising her children, Judy was the typical stay-at-home mom. She was a member of the PTA, prominent in the boy’s Little League Baseball activities, an active member in the First Methodist Church of Hamilton and the Elk’s Lodge. After moving to Florida in 1981, Judy became an avid golfer and was a member of the ladies league at the Seminole Lake Country Club. She also belonged to the Sunshine State Golf Association.
Judy is survived by her loving husband, Ralph, son; Dennis and wife Kay of Evanston, IL, grandsons; Ryan of Brooklyn, NY.and David of Arlington, VA. A daughter, Diane, and Judy’s parents preceded her death.
A private memorial service and burial will be held at Serenity Gardens Memorial Park, 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, FL. on December 2, 2012, at 1:30 pm, officiated by Reverend Herbert Freitag of the Clearwater Chapel By The Sea.
