A proud Chicago native, Dewey attended St. Patrick High School before continuing his education at Loyola University. Throughout his life, he was known for his entrepreneurial spirit, generous heart, and ability to make friends wherever he went.
Dewey was the proud owner of Ukulele Brands Bar in Land O' Lakes, Florida, where he created more than a business—he built a welcoming place where friends, neighbors, and patrons could gather, share stories, and create lasting memories. His warmth, hospitality, and sense of community touched countless lives.
A passionate car enthusiast, Dewey loved his sports cars and the freedom and excitement they represented. He embraced life with enthusiasm, humor, and a deep appreciation for the people around him.
Dewey was the beloved son of Terezinha Hasan and Mahmud "Mike" Hasan. He is survived by his brothers, Nidal Hasan and Namah "Mikey" Hasan; his nieces, Hope, Sarah, and Abby; and his nephews, Gabriel, Michael, and Noah. He also leaves behind many extended family members, dear friends, and members of the Land O' Lakes community who were fortunate to know him.
Dewey's passing has left an immeasurable void in the hearts of those who loved him. He will be remembered not for the way he left this world, but for the way he lived in it—with kindness, generosity, laughter, and a genuine appreciation for family and friends. The memories he created and the lives he touched will remain a lasting source of comfort and love.
He will be remembered for his warm smile, generous nature, adventurous spirit, and unwavering ability to bring people together. His legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
May Nagih "Dewey" Hasan rest in peace, and may his memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved him.
