OBITUARY

Nicholas Charles Belmonte

May 20, 1937October 9, 2020

Nicholas C. Belmonte, 83, passed on October 9, 2020. He served his country as Lt.Col.USAF in space engineering for 23 years retiring in Largo, Florida in 1992.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy, and son and family, Dr. and Mrs. Stephen Belmonte, grandsons, Mark and Ethan of Round Hill, Virginia. Also, two step-daughters, Annette Potter and Teresa Heimark, and two step-grandsons. He loved boating, American History and Boxer Dogs. He was a much-loved provider and protector of his family, and will be greatly missed by them all.

He authored a book, "Guns That Shaped Our Nation", which blends intricate gun details and American History, great for beginning gun collectors and history lovers.

In lieu of flowers, please consider to donate to his favorite charity Wounded Warriors. The memorial service will be held at Bay Pines Veterans Park.

Dear Dorothy,

Although I never got to meet Nick, I have learned much about how much he cared for you from Teresa. I have also seen some of his social media posts that clearly show how much he loved you. I know you have grown even closer these past few years, and I'm so sorry for your loss. I wish you peace and comfort as you go through this very sad and difficult time.

Remembering Nicholas's love of baseball, he really knew what it meant to "step up to the plate" in regards to helping others, especially, family. He will always be remembered for this..
