Norma Jean Osborn (Alford), 75, of Seminole, Florida, died of natural causes Thursday, June 6, 2024.
She was born in Owensboro, Kentucky to Ray Alford and Helen Ranson (Pappas) where she attended school at Owensboro High School. She met her husband, Larry Osborn, while he was stationed in Owensboro during his service to the United States Coast Guard. They married and moved to Marion, Ohio in March of 1971. In February of 1983 they moved with their two daughters, Carla and Erin, to Seminole, FL.
Norma worked at All Children’s Hospital and Suncoast Hospital for most of her career doing payroll and Human Resources.
Norma was preceded in death by her father, Ray Alford, and her stepfather and mother, Wilda and Helen Ranson. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Larry Osborn; her two daughters, Carla Hailey (Benjamin) and Erin Atheney (Jason) and her grandkids, Hali Harris (Sean), Declan Hailey, Jacob Hailey, and Ronan Hailey. She is also survived by her 5 siblings (Billie Gail, Gary, Kay, Mary Helen, Kim).
Norma also loved all her fur/feather grandkids, Kona, Draper, Duke, Foley, Hank, Buddy, and Ichabod Excalibird.
A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held Saturday, July 6, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Home & Serenity Gardens Memorial Park - 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, FL 33774 / 727-562-2080. Donations can be made in her name to SPCA of Tampa Bay.
